Jason Lewis, best known as the character Smith from 'Sex and the City', has denied rumors of a secret romance with movie star Jennifer Aniston following reports in the tabloids that the two actors had paired up.

Speaking to US television show 'Extra' on the green carpet of The 5th Annual Global Green USA Pre-Oscar Event, Lewis put the stories to rest.

"That's a big rumor. I imagine she's a lovely woman, [but] I never met her."

Lewis added that it was "probably one of my friends crank-calling somebody" that sparked the stories.
