Britney Spears' former boyfriend Adnan Ghalib is understood to have received death threats from her fans over reports that he planned to sell a sex tape of the star.

The Birmingham-born photographer is said to have taken a break from work and gone into hiding after revealing that he has been harassed by the singer's fans.

Mr Ghalib also claimed that he was stabbed in the arm in April as irate fans vented their fury over his relationship with the 26-year-old singer.

The video is alleged to feature Spears performing a striptease while wearing a pink wig during a trip the couple took to Mexico.
