sexKissing, cuddling and spontaneous sex are the keys to a long-lasting relationship, according to the Women's Institute. The members of the WI, who famously posed nude for a charity calendar, have provided an insight into their sex lives.

Suggestions ranged from kisses and cuddles and keeping relationships fun, to engaging in spontaneous and enjoyable sex.

The survey, which delved into the women's love lives, found that for nine out of 10 WI members it is important that their partner still finds them sexually attractive.

Half of the women questioned for the survey said they had sex at least once a week and three-quarters (77%) said they would be devastated if they never had sex again.

Dr Miriam Stoppard, sexual health expert, said:

"As we mature, it's incredibly important that we stay in touch with both our own, and our partners' bodies.
"Sex is key to ensuring that we remain close, intimate and communicate withone another."
