Sex offender moves to Image neighborhood

Sep 7, 2007

Barry Lewis Brown, 47, a Level 3 sex offender, has moved to 2919 N.E. 129th Ave. in Vancouver.

The Clark County Sheriff’s Sex Offender Registration Unit issued a notification of his new address on Friday.

Brown was convicted of first-degree rape in 1990 for forcing a 21-year-old woman he had just met in a bar to have sex with him. In 1984, he was serving time in prison for another offense when he served as lookout for an inmate who was forcing another inmate to perform oral sex. Brown was convicted of aggravated battery for that crime.

While in prison, he refused to participate in sex offender treatment. Brown is not currently wanted by the police.

Level 3 sex offenders are considered those most likely to reoffend.
