The Salon Eros is counting on a big crowd to fill the Stade de Genève for its first x-rated expo in Switzerland.

Cast aside old ideas about erotic attractions being held in dark and dingy nightclub. The Salon Eros, a festival celebrating the x-rated adult entertainment world, needs a much bigger venue. Try Geneva’s soccer stadium.

The three-day salon, starting on Friday, promises three stages, 60 “artistes,” 150 shows and a host of other enticements. Among them is the opportunity freely photograph you favorite “artistes” – performers from x-rated films, videos and magazines.
“For us it’s a way of talking about our products and our actresses,” said Helena Karel, of V.Communication, producer of the salon being held for the first time in Switzerland.

“Our basic idea is to be able to present different facets of eroticism,” organizers say on their website. “Our objective is to offer a salon of eroticism open to a large public, without vulgarity, where everyone can feel at ease to find what they want.”

Continuous shows are promises, including striptease acts, “performances” “transformations” and fireworks. While much of the salon appears geared to heterosexual men, a special zone reserved for women promises “Chippendale” men. Also advertised is a fetish and sado-masochism corner along with a display of erotic art work.

The salon runs from 5 p.m. to midnight on Friday; from 2 p.m. to midnight on Saturday and from 2 to 8 p.m. on Sunday.
