Woman suffers alleyway sex attack

Aug 7, 2007

A woman was the victim of a sex attack when she was walking down an alleyway near some shops in Surrey.

Officers said the 24-year-old woman was near the High Road, Byfleet, when she was attacked late on Friday.

Police said a man came out from behind a skip, took her by surprise, and assaulted her, dragging her away. The woman managed to struggle free.

Det Con Alex Maguire said: "This was a nasty assault on an unsuspecting woman going about her everyday business."

The offender was described as Asian, in his mid to late 20s, 5ft 6ins tall, with a medium build, wide face, flat nose, and a clear complexion.

He had dark, unkempt hair, a line of facial hair around the jaw, and wore dark jeans, black trainers, and a black puffer jacket, with a light T-shirt underneath.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact the police.
