There's so much sex in so many positions between Tony Leung and newcomer Tang Wei in the subtitled, Mandarin-language World War II spy thriller, the producers couldn't edit it down to an R. "When we screened the final cut, we knew we weren't going to change a frame," Focus Features CEO James Schamus told Hollywood Reporter. The adults-only rating might hurt its Oscar chances, although X-rated "Midnight Cowboy" won Best Picture in 1969.
