Aug 10, 2007

A 35-year-old Deer Park man has been arrested for allegedly trying to meet someone police said he thought was an underage girl for sex.

Christopher J. Busemeyer, of the 7700 block of Moss Court, was charged with one count of attempted unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and five counts of Importuning. Both are felonies.

Since July 9, Busemeyer has engaged in Internet chat conversations with undercover Hamilton County Sheriff’s Det. Rick Sweeney and undercover Cincinnati Police Det. Kelli Abrams, thinking they were both 14-year-old girls, according to the sheriff's office.

The sheriff's office said Busemeyer indicated he wanted to meet with both of them for sex. Busemeyer also allegedly spoke on the telephone with undercover sheriff’s staff requesting a meeting for sex and to arrange a meeting.

Busemeyer subsequently arranged to meet the “14 year old” female at Reed Hartman Highway and Hunt roads, Blue Ash, the sheriff's office said.

Busemeyer arrived at the prearranged location on Thursday and was arrested and taken to the justice center. His bond was set at $30,000 today.
