Fond du Lac police plan on referring a sexual assault charge against a 24-year-old Fond du Lac man accused of having sex with a 15-year-old girl.

The man and a friend were barhopping downtown in May when they met the 15-year-old girl and her friend while walking on Main Street, according to a Fond du Lac Police Department report.

The two teenage girls had been dancing at a downtown dance club that night, the report said.

The men and girl went to the 15-year-old girl's home on First Street, according to the report.

The girls said the man — who was 23 at the time of the incident — and the 15-year-old girl went to a nearby park where they allegedly had consensual sex, according to the report.
